Considerate Parking
The school car park is for staff and agreed visitors only. Please can I remind parents not to follow staff into the car park nor to drive in if the school gates are open when arriving to drop off or collect your child. This should also be observed after school hours during whole school events such as school discos.
The increasing number of cars outside school at the beginning and end of the day is a common issue for the majority of schools in the country. We encourage families to walk to school wherever possible and politely request that parents and visitors to the school park in surrounding roads with thought and consideration for the children, other adults and the local community. Please obey the restrictions in place and do not park in an obstructive manner.
Please think before you park!
As we continue to prioritise the safety and well-being of our pupils, I wanted to take a moment to address an important matter that affects us all. The area around our school is a bustling hub of activity, especially during drop-off and pick-up times. It is crucial that we work together to ensure the safety of all. I would like to remind everyone about the importance of adhering to parking regulations near the school.
The double yellow lines and zig-zag markings are there for a reason – they create clear sightlines and safe spaces for our pupils to cross the road. By respecting these markings, we are not just following rules; we are actively contributing to the safety of our school community. Let's all play our part in making the journey to and from school as safe as possible. Whether you are walking, cycling, scooting or driving, please be mindful of these safety measures. Your cooperation does not go unnoticed and sets a wonderful example for our pupils about the importance of community responsibility.
I would also like to remind everyone that Tudor Court, adjacent to our school, is private property. We have been asked to remind our school community that their car park should not be used for school drop-offs or pick-ups. Additionally, please refrain from walking through their car park to watch your child enter the school grounds.
By working together and being mindful of these requests, we can ensure a safer, more considerate environment for our entire school community. Thank you for your understanding and support in this matter.
